This 350,000 sq ft facility was built to service a growing port facility on the site of the historic Sparrow’s Point Steel Mill. S&S Structures provided the erection service to ARCO Murray for the American Metal Buildings. The project included 100′ interior mods and 2 small mechanical lean-tos. All roofs were American ‘Standing Seam 360’ trapezoidal standing seam, and the walls consisted of American ‘Long Span III’ panel.
Due to the wind exposure at the bay, S&S Structures designed and implemented a unique temporary bracing solution to ensure the stability of the structure during construction. S&S utilized Skyweb II to provide leading-edge fall protection on this project.
